【Canva】How to clear history and delete used designs? Will it be synchronized?
⚠️ Important Notice
Before an account is resold, all designs created by the previous user are normally removed.
If you happen to find any existing projects after purchasing the account, there's no need to worry — the account is not shared with anyone else.
During your subscription period, you are the only person with access to the account.
Occasionally, some files may be unintentionally left behind during the cleanup process. If that happens, you can simply remove them yourself by following the steps below.
✅ How to Delete Designs in Canva
📁 Option 1: Delete an Individual Design
- Sign in to your Canva account.
- Click Projects (or Your Designs) from the left-hand menu.
- Find the design you want to remove.
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the design.
- Select Move to Trash.

🗑 Option 2: Permanently Delete Designs
- Open the Projects page.

- Select Trash from the left-hand menu.
- Locate the design you wish to remove permanently.Click the three-dot menu (⋮) and choose Delete Permanently.

📌 Note
Items placed in the Trash are typically stored for up to 30 days and can be restored during that period.
🕘 Can Canva History Be Cleared?
- Canva does not have a traditional "browsing history" system.
- However, design files do have Version History, which allows you to view and restore past versions — but not delete them.
- Recently edited designs appear on your homepage, but this is not a separate history feature.
❌ There is no single button to clear history — you must manually delete design files.
🔄Will Deleted Designs Be Removed from All Devices?
✅ Yes.
Any design deleted while using the same Canva account will sync across all devices, including:
•Web Browser
•Mobile App
•Tablet
After deletion:
• The design disappears from both Projects and Home.
• The design is moved to Trash.
• Once permanently deleted, it cannot be recovered from any device.
